Live. Love. Let go. Life is for living.

What is the event today? T.G.I.F! (Thank God It's Friday) The best day of the week is always a Friday, because that's when you get to hang out and chill without having to worry that there's school tomorrow (not that I have any) or if there's any homework you need to submit tomorrow. Therefore, I decided to meet up with two lovely juniors of mine to catch a movie!

Meet Iffah & Wanyi!

Being a fan of Zac Efron, how is it possible for me to miss out on his latest movie? Thus, the 3 of us hurriedly purchased the tickets to his show, for fear that it might be sold out due to the star's popularity

Tickets in hand, our worries were finally put to rest!

The two of them were so excited about the movie!

I just couldn't resist taking a group shot in front of the poster. (Although we pretty much covered it.)

I'm sure most of you would know about this movie (especially the ladies) because this movie is Zac's big show this year, so it's quite hard to give it a miss. Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you:

Charlie St. Cloud

"Based on an acclaimed novel, "Charlie St. Cloud" is a romantic drama starring Zac Efron a s a young man who survives an accident that lets him see the world in a unique way. In this emotionally charged story, he begins a romantic journey in which he embraces the dark realities of the past while discovering the transformative power of love." - Taken from Shaw Cineplex.

Zac Efron as Charlie St. Cloud.

WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD!

WIf you asked me to rate this movie, it would be a 4/5. I feel that love movies should always develop their characters to the maximum because they make a big difference to the whole show. Zac has portrayed Charlie quite well (in my opinion) and I can sense the amount of dilema and stress he goes through in that show. Blaming himself for the death of his brother, Sam, Charlie decides to stay in his hometown so that he could keep Sam's spirit company.

Meeting with Sam everyday at sunset in the woods, Charlie practises baseball with him.

The two of them are just so close to each other that it's hard to believe that such kinship exists. The two actors were able to pull off the relationship so well that I think even if they were off set, people would still them as brothers, rather than individual actors.

Victory goes to the team with best chemistry!

And on top of that, I really liked how Charlie slowly let go of his past by deciding to hang out with Tess, giving her and himself a chance to bring their friendship to the next level. Tess, played by Amanda Crew, makes my heart melt, because at some point in time, I could see that she likes Charlie and knows that by slowly bringing themselves together, he would be happier and thus be able to let go of the past. I believe her love for him really was the potion for his "illness".

I think that every love movies needs to have a major twist  in it, and "Charlie St. Cloud" definitely has it. Half way through the movie when you start to think that the plot is failing and this movie is going to turn out bad, you light up in joy when the twist occurs. And with every love movie, there always have to be a cliché ending where all of us go, "Awww!" and you feel happy for the couple. And I can assure you that "Charlie St. Cloud" has fulfilled that mission.

When it comes to movies, it automatically links me back to our schools very own, SGNewWave! This is due to the fact that they always have a movie screening, every single week, regardless of rain and shine. The best part is, you don't have to pay a single cent and you get CCA points for attending the screening! How awesome is that right? And if you're lucky enough, your favourite film could be screened that week, and you could get to watch it (if you missed it) for free! So, check out the movies that they screen every week (when school reopens)! Until next time, my fellow readers!

Till next time gleeks!

P.s. I realized I used a lot of brackets in this post. LOL!
