A Girl Called Wendy

So the exam period were just over and as we all know, my biggest vice during exam periods (ok fine, all the time) is food so I dragged my friend along to this new foodie place that I've been dying to try!!

It's kinda cool actually; it's a fast food restaurant with squarish meat patty and it goes by the name of a girl! It's WENDY'S!

Some of you may have not heard about Wendy's, but it's actually a very popular fast food chain from US. It used to be in Singapore a long time ago in the 80s in places like Far East Plaza! What's unique about Wendy's is that they not only have the usual burgers and fries, they also serve baked potatoes with different toppings and the most yummmy-licious milkshakes!

Being the glutton that I am, I made sure we ordered their burgers, baked potato and milkshakes! Haha but silly me didn't know that the Wendy's way of drinking milkshakes would be through a spoon...so I went to the counter asking the staff why did he give me such small straw that was impossible to drink the shakes! It was then did I realize that we're supposed to use a spoon!

The milkshakes were heavenly!! I ordered the cookies and cream ones, and unlike the usual shakes you get around where you can barely taste the cookies, the ones at Wendy's still maintain the cookie chunks in the shakes! Even one cup wasn't enough for me! Oh, and the burgers, how can I even begin to describe the burgers.. I really liked it because they had onions (yes major fan of onions here) and the patty wasn't dry and hard, it was actually juicy enough, and not overly juicy that the sauce makes it all messy. I would say go give it a try though I had to admit the price was slightly more expensive than the usual fast food but hey, what's a dollar or two if you can get awesome burgers and shakes right?

Okay all that talking is making me hungry, so I shall go hunt for some dinner now! By the way, Wendy's is located at the famous Lau Pa Sat! I don't know why of all places it's found there, but I guess the worker bees in downtown CBD area like some Wendy's. But for students like us, it's still possible to have some too. You can take Bus No. 75 from Ngee Ann to go straight there! It's only about a 30-minute ride!

Till next time!
