Handy Tips

How should you list your 12 choices to maximise your chances of nabbing your top choice? Just follow our pointers:

  • Tips 1: Place your favorite courses as your first few choices
Remember, you have 12 choices. So don't panic. Go ahead to pick courses that you are passionate about and out them down as your first few choices
  • Tips 2: Cut-off-point is only a guide
Look at the cut-off points (COP) of the previous year. Make sure you then choose courses that you are sure can qualify for. Still, COP is only a guide. So, if your grades are a few points off the previous year COP, go ahead and put you favourite courses in anyway
  • Tips 3: Make us of all your 12 choices
It is important to make full use of your 12 choices. Make sure that you include less competitive courses that are clearly within your COP
  • Tips 4: Take Advantage of CCA points
If you have done well in your Co-curricular Activities (CCA), you will receive bonus points. This will help reduce your raw ELR2B2 aggregate score
